How to Hydrate the 10 lb Modellor Coco Husk Chips

There are 3 steps to Hydrate the Coco Husk Chips as listed below.

Step 1: Unwrap Coco Husk Chips Block

• Unwrap the coconut husk chips block from the packaging
• Place the coconut husk chips block in a large container like a wheelbarrow. A large container is needed to hold about 15 to 18 gallons i.e., about 2 to 2.5 cubic feet of expanded husk chips

Step 2: Hydrate and Expand the Coconut Husk Chips Block

• Gradually add aboutwater on the top and the sides of the Coconut Husk Chips block.  The husk chips will absorb the water and slowly start to expand and loosen up.
• As the chips loosens up, use a small gardne hand tool to move the chips from the top and the sides.
• Continue to add water on top of the block. Add about 3 to 4 gallons of water on the block to fully expand and loosen up.

Step 3: Fluff-up the Loosened Husk Chips

• Use the samall garden tool to continue to loosen up and brek the husk chips block.
• Add more water, as needed, on top of any chunks of husk chips
• Continue to fluff-up the husk chips
• Drain any excess water.
• Coconut Husk Chips is ready for use.
